Exam pattern

  1. Tier 1 (objective): General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension — a qualifying/screening stage.
  2. Tier 2 (objective): dedicated papers on Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning, English & Comprehension, General Studies, and a Computer Knowledge module; some posts include a Statistics paper.

Final selection is by Tier 2 merit + post preference, followed by document verification and (for some posts) physical standards.

Preparation plan

  • Quantitative Aptitude: the highest-leverage section — practise daily.
  • Reasoning: quick scoring with consistent practice.

  • General Awareness: static GK + current affairs.
  • Mocks: full-length Tier 1 and Tier 2 tests for speed and accuracy.

A focused 4–6 month plan works for most disciplined graduates.
